HOW TO BECOME A CRUISE PLANNERS GROUP LEADER

How would you like to gather a group of your friends and do the thing we all love best.... take a cruise?

It's easy to start planning and promoting your own Cruise Planner group cruise. Cruises are an outstanding value for your money. What many do not know is that cruises are an excellent place to host your group functions.

Examples would be fundraising, corporate events, weddings, vow renewals, anniversaries, birthdays, or any other special events or just getting a group of your friends together for a relaxing vacation. Those groups could include your neighborhood ladies' group, golf groups, church groups, family reunions, spring break (school families), class reunions, clubs, etc.

Our Group Leader Incentive Program allows you to escort up to three groups per calendar year and cruise free with each group.

We offer our group leaders complimentary accommodations for two when they escort a group with 16 ocean view, balconies, or suite staterooms.

We will work with you to create amenity packages for your group to make your sailing special. Cocktail parties, shore excursions, t-shirts, totes, shipboard credit, photo credit, albums, and much more.

We will collect deposits and send all cruise documents, confirmations, and tickets directly to the members of your group.

It's easy. We do all the paperwork; you get the credit and the complimentary accommodations.

See how many people are interested in joining you.
HINT: New ships tend to attract the most takers.
Select a Month to Travel
Once you have a ship and itinerary and an initial group that's interested, attempt to select a month that all can agree to travel.
HINT: The best group deals are offered in May, June, September, October & early November.
Contact Cruise Planners
Once you have an idea of how large your group will be initially and the month and ship of sailing, contact ReLuxe Vacations at (508) 403-8044 or email info@reluxevacations.com (www.reluxevacations.com). We will explain the process to you and will contact our Preferred Cruise Lines to obtain your official quote. After you receive your proposal it is full speed ahead! HINT: Being flexible on the sailing date may mean a better price and more amenities!
Promote your Group Cruise
Once you have your Cruise Planner Group started, we will create a special flyer and webpage for your group listing all of the information about the cruise including prices and booking information. HINT: Ask us to create a group webpage where members can enter their personal information and payment details via a secure webpage.
Remind Group Members to Send in Deposits
Once you have decided to reserve a new group, full deposits for each cabin booked need to be made. Encourage your group members to send in their deposits as soon as they have decided to cruise with the group. HINT: Deposits are typically refundable until a specific date (usually up until 70 days prior to departure) which the cruise line will share with you and your group. Your group has nothing to lose by putting down the initial deposit.
Encourage the Purchase of Travel Insurance
It's important to remember that there are penalties on a group starting 70 days prior to departure so please get your group to buy third-party travel insurance. Our preferred partner is Allianz because they offer the highest coverage at the lowest cost. HINT: Allianz insurance offers more comprehensive coverage than your average cruise line package. Insurance is based on a few factors including the price per person of actual cruise fare.
Plan Some Fun
Plan some group activities during the cruise, or make arrangements to go on some shore excursions together. Decide if you want the group to have a pre-cruise party a day early to get to know each other before the cruise. HINT: We will be happy to help you plan something special such as a sail away party.
Final Payment
Final payments will be due along with all gratuities, which are prepaid for all groups. Passengers that are purchasing an air/sea package will have their transfers included from the airport to and from the ship. HINT: For those that are booking their own air, transfers are available for purchase.

Group Leader Perks

All Cruise Planner groups must have a minimum of 8 cabins booked to be considered a group and receive all of the group perks.
As a group leader you will receive one free berth* if at least 8 cabins are sold, and two free berths* if at least 16 cabins are sold.
Group leaders will need to pay for their cruise upfront but will be rebated the equivalent rate per berth* for the category which has the largest number of cabins booked.

Individual cruise lines have varying rules and regulations about group leaders and free berth offers. We will share the various policies with you upfront so that you can make the best decision for your group's needs and to make sure you are receiving the type of promotion you feel is best. Note that while the berth is reimbursed by the cruise line, taxes and fees are not reimbursed. This is an exceptional way to cruise for next to nothing.
